This workshop will be led by MAJ Eric Akrish, a U.S. based trauma nurse with experienceapplying both complete and partial REBOA in civilian and austere settings. The course includescase-based presentation of REBOA best practices, hands-on training with pREBOA-PRO, anext-generation catheter to perform true partial REBOA in simulated casualties, and review ofconsensus guidelines for complete and partial REBOA. Preliminary data from REBOAdeployment in Ukraine will be presenting suggesting that occlusion time could be extended four-fold, allowing more time for triage, treatment, and transport.

Was braucht ihr: - Taktische Ausrüstung (Helm, Plattenträger) - ggf.

This session will provide military care providers with an actionable understanding of lung-protective ventilation (LPV) and how to initiate and manage patients in the field following standard of care, this includes: 1. The underlying principles of LPV 2. How to manage oxygenation 3. Initiation of LPV based on patient predicted bodyweight (PBW) incl. Initiation of LPV with pediatric patients 4. Ventilator management for prolonged field care 5. Using a ventilator and O2 concentrator 6. Hands-on workshop using a ventilator and O2 concentrator. Course objectives: Knowledge of the principles of LPV, its implementation in all patient populations, and the preparation and use of an oxygen concentrator ventilator. Course instructors: The didactic portion of the course will be presented by clinicians with both military and civilian experience in mechanical ventilation in both German and English. The hands-on workshop will include a multilingual team of instructors with operational experience from various NATO countries. Target Audience: The workshop is intended primarily for NATO Special Operations Combat Medics (NSCOM), paramedics, and physicians without intensive care or anesthesiology backgrounds.

The workshop is designed specifically and exclusively for SOF personnel who find themselves in a situation where they have to transport wounded patients over a vertical ledge without access to adequat material. The goal is to not be unprepared but to improvise with unconventional techniques and on-hand material in order to successfully complete one's assignment. The workshop is designed as an interactive demonstration. The techniques are shown and actively carried out by the participants. SOF membership will have to be verified on-site. The person in charge for the workshop reserves the right to prohibit participation.

This hands-on workshop introduces basic ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia techniques for prehospital use in operational and field environments. The focus is on effective and easy-to-learn procedures for pain management of upper and lower extremity injuries, proven to be feasible even under tactical conditions.
Following a concise theoretical introduction, participants will take part in a hands-on session using models or phantoms, where they will become familiar with the use of ultrasound devices and practice selected nerve block techniques in a controlled setting.
The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with a solid overview of selected regional anaesthesia techniques and to familiarize them with the fundamental principles and procedural workflows.

This workshop covers the prolonged field/casualty care of severe burn injury based on the “The Burns for Providers Program (BP2)” published by Hornung LJ et al (2024). This paper identifies 16 Terminal Learning Objectives (TLOs); and this workshop will cover 12 of these TLOs and exclude the 4-covering novel technology provision. There will be no “hands on” for the 4 procedural objectives (Decontamination, Debridement, Dressings and Decompression) but these will be discussed in detail. For each TLO the best practice plus a pragmatic adaptation for PFC or PCC will be presented. Target Audience: Any clinical provider with burn life support certification (ABLS, EMSB etc) who wishes to consolidate the theory of PFC management of severe burns. This workshop will be limited to 30 participants. There is self-marked pre- and post- workshop test as an educational audit. A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the workshop.
